The 2016 edition of iLight Marina Bay saw the debut of Jen Lewin’s interactive sculpture Light Walk.
Light Walk is a large-scale interactive sound and light installation composed of portable interactive modules attached to existing infrastructure. By placing these modules throughout a site, Lewin creates a temporary, yet giant and fully immersive art experience. As participants move, dance and walk through Light Walk, they will trigger sound and light. As crowds flock to Light Walk, the group’s chaotic activity will create new life, as if everyone is unknowingly participating in a musical symphony.

Created in 2012 by American contemporary installation artist, Jen Lewin, Chandelier Harp returned to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival during the Summer of 2016.
Chandelier Harp is an interactive instrument played by passing your body through the low voltage lasers that shine from the Chandelier Harp to the ground. Much like plucking the string of a harp, passing through the beams triggers custom circuitry and sensors to produce musical notes. Users play to create an ambiance that is individual to the moment of interaction. When crowds flock to it and people start to play independently, the group’s chaotic activity give the piece life, as if everyone is, unknowingly, participating in a musical symphony. Each ‘string’ will mix its own library of sounds to create a depth and tone that compliments the public activity and random or organized play.

Jen Lewin Studio was excited to exhibit The Pool at the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus Ohio. Created in 2008 by contemporary American installation artist Jen Lewin, The Pool is large-scale, interactive landscape built out of concentric rings of illuminated platforms.
The sculpture invites each individual to move around, among, and on the platforms, watching as their interactions create washes of vibrant color through the sculpture. Like all of Lewin’s work, The Pool allows for an unprecedented level of interactivity, transforming the way we interact with art and each other, bringing everyone together in the Art of Play.

Jen Lewin’s site-specific, interactive sculpture Aqueous made its third visit to Descanso Gardens’s exhibit, Enchanted Forest of Light. Created in 2017, Aqueous invites all participants to move on, among and around the sculpture, engaging in the Art of Play.
Derived from the Golden Ratio, each platform in Aqueous is created from a custom, rotationally molded form. During the day, Aqueous’ surface reflects the sky, audience and surrounding environment. At night, Aqueous will engages visitors as they walk along its surface watching as their actions create swirling eddies of light.

Created in 2017, Jen Lewin’s unique, interactive sculpture Aqueous installed at the Momentum Festival in Toledo, Ohio during the Fall of 2019. Like all of Lewin’s work the sculpture brings an unprecedented level of interactivity, transforming the way we interact with Art and each other.
Each installation of Aqueous is entirely site specific, allowing for completely unique installations anywhere in the world. Composed of hundreds of interactive, stand alone, modular platforms derived directly from the Golden Ratio, Aqueous grows to create a landscape of flowing modular light, controlled not from a single computer, router, or graphic system, but instead from the raw code that can process human interaction on each of Aqueous’s many independent yet connected platforms.

Created in 2012 by contemporary American installation Artist, Jen Lewin, Chandelier Harp installed at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Sosnick Courtyard during the summer of 2019.
