Burning Man

For only its second exhibition ever, The Pool joined thousands of other participants during the 2009 iteration of Burning Man. Created in 2008, The Pool was installed as a large-scale, interactive landscape built out of concentric rings of illuminated platforms.

The sculpture invites each individual to move around, among, and on the platforms, watching as their interactions create washes of vibrant color through the sculpture. Like all of Lewin’s work, The Pool allows for an unprecedented level of interactivity, transforming the way we interact with Art and each other, bringing everyone together in the Art of Play.
