In 2006, Arc Harp became American contemporary installation artist Jen Lewin’s first project to be brought to Burning Man. Part of Jen Lewin’s Laser Harp Series, Arc Harp is an outdoor, 60 string light sculpture designed for public play. Each of the light strings in the Arc Harp can sense user movement, speed and tempo. Individual strings will mix its own library of sounds to create a depth and tone that compliments public activity and random or organized musical play.
