Exhibition Details

Created in 2008, The Pool was installed at Montreal en Lumiere. While this was certainly one of the coldest exhibitions of The Pool, it didn’t dissuade thousands from enjoying the sculpture. A large-scale, interactive landscape built out of concentric rings of illuminated platforms, The Pool is one of the most prolific traveling sculptures in the world.

The sculpture invites each individual to move around, among, and on the platforms, watching as their interactions create washes of vibrant color through the sculpture. Like all of Lewin’s work, The Pool allows for an unprecedented level of interactivity, transforming the way we interact with Art and each other, bringing everyone together in the Art of Play.
